Daily Meditation – July 10th, 2013

There is a certain value to feeling fear at the right times. But the key is to understand where it comes from, and be able to release it from your body to replace it with something positive and healing. We feel fear when we encounter growth opportunities. Those times when it feels as though you are facing a mountain ahead, and the only path is over it. Your fear may be over climbing to such a great height, or not being able to see what is on the other side where you are going to end up. It’s okay to feel this way, it’s human. At the same time, you cannot allow the fear to overtake you, because you have work to be done. You have lessons to learn, and appointments to meet other people whose lessons you will be a part of. You have a world to change, countless people to touch and transform. So, when you are feeling fear, take the first step. It is so very important that you do not delay. Imagine your success and then embody that success in every way possible. But do not repress your fear, work with it. When your heart beats a little faster and your eyes burn bright with fearful anticipation, turn that into your fuel. Connect to the Earth below you, send your fear down through the soles of your feet all the way to the center of the Earth. Let Her transform that energy from fear to fuel, then bring that changed energy back up into your body. Now, move on to the first step towards climbing that mountain.

Mantra of the day: The negative is not to be discarded as useless or bad. The negative is not to be ignored or held inside. The negative is to be transformed and used to create more positive.

Daily Meditation – July 9th, 2013

When we let go of the sense of control and allow Spirit to help guide our lives, all things will fall into place. The trouble is that fully letting go can often be very difficult. We are used to being very logical, thought-based beings in many respects, and we cling to that reality sometimes instead of letting it go. The truth is, logic and reality do not rule the Universe. Instead, the Universe is ruled by the principles of mystery, the unexpected, and infinite possibility.

So, we must begin to practice letting go. The first step is understanding that you never had control, nor will you ever attain it. There is no insurance that even the richest person could buy that would truly keep them safe. There is no amount of money that you could have in the bank that could truly protect you from losing it all. There is no way to stop death from arriving for all of us some day. And this message is not meant to invoke fear, so release any of that down to the Earth to be transformed into Love if you are feeling it now. So how do we avoid living in complete terror of the unknown?

We learn to follow our intuitive guidance, that “gut feeling” that you get about things. We trust that there is order to the Universe, even if it comes in a form that we cannot comprehend. We accept that we are here in this lifetime to learn certain lessons, and so we always have the strength within to overcome any obstacles we face. We trust that the Universe is orchestrating everything for our best and highest good. We ask for help when we need it, be it from our loved ones here on Earth, or from our Spirit Guides and Angels. We allow ourselves to be carried by the natural flow of life as it unfolds before us, one moment at a time. Know that, even as you read this, Spirit is orchestrating your success in whatever way is right for you.

Mantra of the day: I listen to my intuitive guidance as it comes, letting go of the idea that I am in control. I trust that Spirit is orchestrating my success, setting up events in my life for my best and highest good.

Daily Meditation – July 8th, 2013

When you are at the high points in your life, it can be scary to think about losing it all. There is a certain trepidation that comes with success, and it is all about the risk of future failure. The larger the undertaking, the bigger the project, the more far-reaching your work becomes, the fear can grow exponentially. That is why it is important to build a strong foundation of trust, self-care, faith, and- above all- love for yourself. If you always prioritize following your intuition and living in a way that embodies the practice of loving yourself fully, then there is no height which could be too high. You will no longer have to fear falling, because the things that you value most can never be taken away from you.

Fear of loss only applies when we leave our focus on financial or material gain, when we invest all of our love in another person, or when we only feel valuable because of how others perceive us to be. When loving yourself is your highest priority, you can rest assured because you will never lose your own support.

Now, this is not to say that connection with others isn’t valuable, because it certainly is. The whole purpose of learning to love ourselves fully is the precursor to engaging in the most deep and positive interpersonal relationships that could ever be imagined. When we love ourselves completely, we are able to show up as our authentic selves with our loved ones, and enable them to reveal who they truly are as well. Nothing is too dark, too deep, too scary, too emotional to be shared between two authentic people who trust themselves and each other. When we stand strongly in self-love, we enable all those around us to wake up to that possibility within themselves.

These are just some of the reasons why exploring the ever-continuing path towards self-love is the most valuable journey you could ever undertake. I encourage you to travel on and on as the path continues to appear, clearing any brush where it has overgrown, stopping to rest and honor your feelings when you feel overwhelmed, trusting your gut when the map gets lost, ever-seeking new levels of love for yourself. You are a Divine being, you are a spark of the whole Universe contained within one body, you are a single and perfect wave in the sea of all that is. You are deserving and capable of loving yourself more than you can even imagine. This is your reminder to stay on the path, even if the way seems unclear, seek always and forever to truly understand just how vastly beautiful and amazing you are.

Mantra of the day: Today, I love myself more deeply than ever before. I am a single spark of light in a sea of brightness, and I am far more beautiful and amazing than I ever realized.

Daily Meditation – July 1st, 2013

Do you find that you have difficulty trusting other people? Perhaps previous experiences in your life where you were hurt are getting in the way now. There are so many different moments along the way in life where we can slowly lose our ability to trust. And once we have lost it, we begin to blame other people. We say to ourselves, “Well, sure, I don’t trust that person. But that is because they don’t DESERVE my trust”- or some similar statement.

In reality, our ability to trust other people has it’s roots in our own internal experience. We choose not to trust externally because, deep down, we are not trusting ourselves internally. Trusting yourself seems like such a simple concept too, but in reality, it has a deep and vast meaning in terms of how you view your life. We can lose trust in ourselves early on in this life, when people tell us what we see/think/feel/etc is not real or valid simply because they disagree. We can lose trust in ourselves when we are punished for failing at something, instead of encouraged to get back out there and try again. These are common themes in our world, at no fault of those who may have helped us lose our faith in our inner voice. They simply did what they thought was best at the time. The wonderful thing is that now we can begin to learn to trust ourselves again.

When you trust yourself completely, you believe in the messages that come from your heart. Not the messages from your thinking mind, but the knowing that comes from a deeper place within you. When you trust yourself completely, you are able to stand strong in your inner knowing without doubt or questioning, without being afraid that what you feel might be a little silly or totally wrong. When you trust yourself completely, you give in and ALLOW who you are to be SEEN. That means that not only do you stand strong in your inner wisdom, but you have no qualms about people knowing it. I don’t mean in an abrasive “I’m right and you’re wrong” kind of way either. Because if you trust yourself fully, then you also recognize that you don’t need to be certain of any single truth, and you definitely don’t need to attempt to apply any single truth to other people. When you trust yourself fully, you shift on a moments notice, following the flow of the Universe as YOU feel called to do. Yes, you still learn from others and gain new knowledge, but you know the rhythm of your inner drum and you test any new information to see if it matches that beat.

This is the next step in our journey. It may take some time, or it could be quick. Be open to whatever your experience looks like. Invite your Angels and Spirit Guides to help you through this transition. You will find that once you step into trusting yourself fully, you will suddenly find it much easier to fully trust the Universe and the people that you are close to.

Mantra of the day: I trust myself fully, release all fear, and stand strong in my inner knowing. I trust myself fully, and allow myself to be seen for who I truly am.

Daily Meditation – June 29th, 2013

Are you doubting yourself because someone in your life is judging your choices? Or perhaps someone is even blaming you for something that is happening in their own life? Many of us are going through phases of transition in our lives right now, where situations are rapidly growing and changing. When this happens, there will be “growing pains”, just as when the physical body has periods of quick growth. Understand that emotions will undoubtedly run high at such a time, and this can manifest in many different ways.

To overcome any doubts that you may be carrying about yourself, it is important to remember who you are. Find a safe space to sit quietly where you will not be disturbed, and check in to your core being. See if you can tap into the deeper wisdom within you to become aware of the traits that make up who you are. Compare those truths to your doubts, and watch any hesitation fall away. You cannot be carried away in unfounded fears when you KNOW who you are.

It would also be wise to create personal boundaries to be sure that others who are unknowingly throwing dark clouds of judgement and blame at you are no longer allowed in your space. Understand that they are struggling through a difficult time as well, and don’t have the same tools to see clearly and handle their emotions differently. It’s all okay, because you are strong enough to move through this, and you understand how to keep yourself healthy energetically. Continue to do regular grounding and clearing meditations. Part of the process of clearing can involve ending connection to those who are feeding off of your energy by tapping in to you with judgement and blame. These dramas are deeply exhausting to you because the person or people involved are connecting to your energetic field and drawing off of you to further fuel the negativity. It is not your job to fix them or to support them, it is your job to maintain the boundaries that you need in order to keep your energy high and be able to do your work in the world. Their shift, healing, knowledge, expansion, etc. are all their own responsibility. They know who you are and what you do, if they become ready and open to change, they will come and ask you for help. Until then, they are not your problem and you will do well to maintain appropriate boundaries. It’s okay to feel sad when you break a connection to someone, but know it is something that you likely agreed to before you came in to this life as an essential part of your own spiritual growth.

Mantra of the day: I release self-doubt because, on a deeper level, I KNOW who I am.

Daily Meditation – June 26th, 2013

Reaching the end of a cycle of your life can feel scary. You KNOW on some level that it is time to let go, and yet there are so many parts of you that just want to hang on anyway. It can be the end of a job, a relationship, or even a role that you’ve played for some time now.

Let go of the idea that the world is working against you as this cycle comes to a close. When we lose something, it is always for a reason. We are being cleared out for something new to come in once the time is right. You are not being punished, you are being grown. On a Soul level, you need this cycle to end so that you can move up to the next level of understanding. Now is the time to mother yourself in every way that you know how. Do not try to block your emotional expression, but instead hold yourself gently as you release. Stay true to how you are feeling right now. There is no need to put on a front of positivity or put on a happy face if that is not where you’re at. At the same time, do not drown in the loss and blame everything and everyone around you. You may be tempted to feel that way, but your Inner Wisdom is in touch with a deeper truth.

Every death is a chance for rebirth. In fact, there cannot ever be new life without a death beforehand to feed it. Consider the cycles of the Earth. Animals grow and die, and they break down in the Earth before they feed the growth of new plant life, which in turn new animals to grow and flourish. You are in the breakdown part of the cycle right now, and it sometimes feels just as tumultuous as it sounds. Nurture yourself and honor the end of the previous cycle. Allow the Universe to carry you forward, even when it seems that you cannot find the strength within yourself.

Mantra of the day: I allow myself to gently release the things in my life that are passing away. I trust that the Universe will hold me and carry me through the breakdown. New growth will return when the time is right.

Daily Meditation – June 25th, 2013

We are meant to be diverse beings in this life, taking on a variety of “work” that feeds our Souls. The “work” that we are meant to be enjoying is not necessarily related to our Earthly idea of work. We may consider work to be a chore, work is often another word for the things that we have to do but don’t really want to. The “work” that feeds our Souls is actually much closer to our concept of the word “play”. Soul “work” is expressing all the aspects of who you are in a way that feels amazingly good.

What forms of yourself have you been active in lately? What aspects of who you are have you been neglecting?

It can be challenging to stay in touch with all parts of ourselves when we fill our lives up with full time jobs and other obligations. However, this is the ideal time to begin to explore more of who you are. Begin to listen again to the sparks of inspiration that come to you. Write down the ideas that come through. Write down the things that you have been too afraid to try. We are halfway through 2013, so it is the perfect time to create a list of the things that you are going to do by the end of the year. Make it a big list, at least 50 items, let your imagination guide you, and dig into that adventurous nature of yours. Allow yourself to diversify who you consider yourself to be. Become open to the truth that you might be incredibly well-suited for something that you’ve never even tried before. Sometimes we have innate abilities that we aren’t even aware of.

Are you still feeling like your calendar is too full to take on the things that you’ve put on your magically inspired to-do list? That is a clear sign that it’s time to scale back on the things that you’re doing that don’t bring you joy. Let go of everything that isn’t yours. Now, post your adventures for 2013 somewhere that you will see them often, then begin to cross things off the list!

Mantra of the day: I am a diverse and talented being. I embrace the adventure of trying new things. I face my fears and, in overcoming them, find all the Joy that life has to bring.

Daily Meditation – June 20th, 2013

You are a powerful being, whether you are aware of it or not. You have the ability within you to shift and transform yourself, thereby changing the world around you as well. You may have been told your whole life that changing the world is not possible, and certainly not by the effect just one person can have. It’s time to let those beliefs go because they just simply aren’t true. Embrace the fact that anything is possible, and start to dream big! Nourish your Soul by seeking out things that bring you joy and give you life. Give yourself permission to remove anything or anyone from your life that weighs you down or drains you. You are here to be free and joyful and ecstatic! Anything less is not necessary, no matter what other people may think. Embrace the beautiful Soul Gifts that you are here to share with the world! Not sure what those gifts are yet? Try whatever calls to your heart, begin to explore whatever it is that you Love to be a part of, and you will find your way!

Mantra of the day: I have the ability to heal and transform myself, which also heals everything around me. I embrace the innate power that I have to change the world.

Daily Meditation – June 17th, 2013

As you move forward in the world, it is helpful to let go of any ideas you hold about who you are or how the world works. By releasing what we believe to be true about ourselves, we allow space to grow and expand in new ways. This time in the Universe is all about rapid growth and expansion, but we will move forward more freely if we can shift our ways of thinking.

You may be unconsciously holding on to your old ways through thoughts about yourself (i.e. I am a stubborn person. I don’t like change. I am not good at opening my heart. etc), thoughts about the world around you (People are mean and angry. Life is hard. There is never enough money. Nobody loves me. etc), or even thoughts about the state of your health (I am sick. I am old. My body hurts. My illness is ____. etc). All of these patterns of thought come together to create our reality, because these thoughts are our perception. What you focus on through your perception of things is what you will see all around you in life. I’ve given you the negative example, but be fluid in the positive traits you see in yourself as well. What you are growing into could be even bigger than you previously imagined!

The first step in shifting these patterns is to let go of the definitive nature of these statements. Allow yourself room to change, and allow the world around you room to change too. Forget what you were yesterday, and forget what you think you should be. Let yourself be a brand new person every morning when you wake up and start a new day. Anything is possible! As our cells grow and die within the body, we are fully replaced by new cells on a regular basis. You are, in fact, not even physically in the same body that you were inhabiting several years ago!

Mantra of the day: I release all past perceptions about myself and the world around me. I allow space for who I am to continually grow and expand.

Daily Meditation – June 15th, 2013

Do you feel like listening to your intuition is difficult because you just don’t know what your Soul Self sounds like yet? For someone who is just beginning to experience tapping in to their intuition, meditation is recommended. Why? Because if we can get into a space where the mind is quiet, we can hear more from our heart and our physical body (where our intuition comes through without the interruption of our thoughts). That might sound like a funny concept, and at first, it certainly is. Allow yourself to be curious and open to possibility.

How do you begin to listen to your heart and your body? Check in with your physical body first. Get quiet by sitting in a place where you won’t be interrupted. Let your eyes close and take a few deep breaths. Then, notice what your body feels like today. Try to reserve judgement (what you feel doesn’t have to be good or bad) and just feel whatever comes up. If a particular place in your body is attracting your attention, listen to see if there is a message there. Listen to see if there’s something your body needs. It may sound crazy, but just be open to whatever pops into your head in response! Then, shift your focus to your emotional body and notice what you’re feeling there. Ask if there’s something you need to support your emotional self and, again, just be open to whatever you hear!

A lot of people think that following the guidance of your emotional and physical bodies could lead to just crying all day, or laying around eating cake instead of going for a run and eating a salad. The truth is that, if you’re not used to attending to the requests of your body and your emotional self, this could be true at first. If you’ve built up years of self-neglect or self-denial, then the initial return to caring for yourself could be scary and even feel overwhelming. It may seem like an eruption of need because when you’ve held the pendulum at one end for so long, it needs to swing to the other extreme before it can eventually settle in the middle. Do your best to allow this extreme to be expressed, knowing it is just a temporary part of the process. Uncomfortable, yes, but all growth stems from stepping into our discomfort. Once you attend to these needs regularly, you will begin to hear clear guidance from your emotional and physical bodies that is health-supporting and positive. Your physical body might say “do yoga and eat a salad” because that feels good and promotes health. (Occasionally, it will most likely still request cake! All things in moderation…) Your emotional body might say “Slow down a bit” or “Say no to that request”, but it will not usually tell you to stay in bed for a week straight and let your house become caked in dirt. (Unless that’s what you truly need. If you ARE guided to lay in bed for a week straight, then perhaps it is time to find ways to cover your responsibilities and lay in bed for a week…) Whatever you hear when you tune in, do your best to courageously honor the guidance that comes up!

Mantra of the day: I tune in to my inner voice by listening to my heart and my physical body. I bravely follow through on what my intuition is telling me, even when it means facing my discomfort.
